Last lesson your gut decided three cases, and the numbers never changed while the votes did. Today you try to do better than your gut.

🔁 1. Your three verdicts

✍️ Write here: copy your three answers from last lesson, yes or no.

  1. The trolley: steer onto the one?

  2. The bridge: push the man?

  3. The hospital: take the organs?

📏 2. Write the rule

Your challenge: write one rule, a single sentence, that gives your three answers and explains them. Not three rules. One.

"Always save the most lives" will not do it unless you said yes to all three. "Never kill anyone" will not do it unless you said no to all three. Most people need something cleverer.

✍️ Write here, on your own: your rule, version 1.

✍️ Now test it. Apply your rule to each case as if you had never seen it before, and write what it tells you to do. Does it match your answer?

  1. The trolley:

  2. The bridge:

  3. The hospital:

✍️ Write here: if your rule failed any case, rewrite it. Version 2.
